Eleven of us and Max the dog set off from the Rose & Crown in Tipton on the Hill on a cold windy Good Friday afternoon, a stark contrast to the walk last year round Old Dalby in blazing hot sunshine. During the 7.5 mile hilly hike, the weather deteriorated into a blizzard with horizontal sleet stinging our faces but that did not deter this tough bunch and luckily it had eased up by the time we reached the impressive Twyford viaduct for our half-way stop. The long uphill climb back to Tipton warmed us up a bit but alas the pub was not open and it was too cold to hang about. Great exercise and good fun - shame about the weather!
